A forest-fringed village in the northern Hills
Tucked into the northern Adelaide Hills between Gumeracha and One Tree Hill, Kersbrook is a small rural village ringed by the pine plantations of the Mount Crawford Forest. It grew up around farming and timber, and retains an unhurried country feel.
The village centre is modest, but the surrounding forest is the real draw, with bushwalking, picnic grounds and seasonal pick-your-own berry farms nearby. It's well off the standard tourist trail, which makes it a good choice for travellers chasing the quieter, more agricultural side of the Hills.
Combine it with a loop through the Torrens Valley and the Mount Crawford forest reserves.
