Morialta Conservation Park

Waterfalls and gorge walks on the city edge

A dramatic gorge park on the western edge of the Hills, famous for its three waterfalls, ridge-top lookouts and family-friendly nature playground.

Morialta is one of Adelaide's best-loved walking parks, where a steep gorge cuts into the western face of the Hills. A network of trails links three seasonal waterfalls, with a justly popular loop climbing past the first falls to ridge-top lookouts over the gorge and out to the plains.

Down at the entrance, a large nature playground makes it a genuine family destination. The falls run hardest after winter and spring rain; in summer the appeal shifts to the cool of the gorge and the views from above.
