Lobethal
A historic Lutheran town famous for its dazzling Christmas lights.
Founded by German Lutherans in 1842 and originally named "Valley of Praise", Lobethal is a former woollen-mill town set in a deep green valley. Each December it transforms into the spectacular Lobethal Lights, one of the southern hemisphere's biggest community Christmas displays, and it is home to the Bierhaus craft brewery and the Onkaparinga Valley's cellar doors.
