Anderson Hill sits high above Lenswood, and the first thing you notice is the view — orchards and vineyards folding away toward the ranges. The cellar door makes the most of it, with a terrace built for lingering over a tasting.
The wines are classic cool-climate Hills: sparkling, chardonnay, pinot noir and a few Italian varieties that suit the altitude. The kitchen turns out wood-fired pizza and shared plates designed to stretch an afternoon into early evening.
It's a little off the main tourist trail, which is exactly the point — come for the wine, stay for the quiet.
