Howard Vineyard
A family cellar door and kitchen set among towering gums, big lawns and estate-grown wines near Nairne.
Howard Vineyard spreads across a green amphitheatre of lawn and old gums between Woodside and Nairne, and it's built for a long, lazy day. Kids and dogs roam the grass while the grown-ups work through a tasting of estate-grown wines.
The range leans into the Hills' strengths - sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, shiraz and a well-regarded sparkling - and the cellar-door kitchen plates up wood-fired pizza and produce-driven shared dishes. Glass walls open the tasting room to the vines.
It's one of the easiest family-friendly cellar doors in the district, and a regular fixture on lazy Sunday itineraries.
